WHAT DID ALFONSO RIBEIRO GET UP TO BEFORE THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR?

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air found its way onto our televisions in 1990 and was an instant hit and no doubt, much of its success was due to its amazing cast, which of course, Alfonso Ribeiro was a part of.

Starring alongside Will Smith, Alfonso was the younger, nerdier cousin, but is well known for his iconic ‘Carlton Dance’ on the show. In fact, it’s so iconic, Smith and Ribeiro were invited on to the Graham Norton show and re-enacted the dance live!

Check the links below to see the awesome dance. It’s highly recommended!

But prior to all of this, what was Ribeiro doing with his time?

Well… Ribeiro starred in the Broadway musical ‘The Tap Dance Kid’, and he even danced in a Pepsi commercial with Michael Jackson. Dancing is clearly on the agenda here.

It was safe to say that before he found his way onto the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Ribeiro was considered a professional dancer. He recently took part in Season 19 of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and won.

I guess you could say Alfonso Ribeiro was his very own Fresh Prince.
